Services

Our services, and which one to start with

Trades.Agency is a Canadian marketing and business consulting firm that works only with trades and home-service companies. This site, TradesAgency.ca, is our company page: who we are, how an engagement runs from the first call to the monthly report, how the work is staffed, and where in Canada we work. We are part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA.

One thing first, because owners ask it on almost every call: we are not a contractor. Nobody here installs, repairs or services anything. We market and advise the businesses that do.

Who we are, in four sentences

We are the trades brand of Sedighi.ca, Ali Sedighi's growth, marketing and technology consulting company. Our method was built on heating and cooling work: Ali has built 150+ live HVAC websites, and those projects taught us how a trades company really wins jobs. We now apply that method to plumbers, electricians, roofers, landscapers, painters, general contractors and the specialised trades. The about page has the full story and Ali's background.

What we are not matters as much. We are not a lead-reselling marketplace, and we don't sell the same homeowner to five contractors. We are not a software subscription with a support ticket queue. We build marketing that belongs to your business and stays with it.

How an engagement actually runs

Every engagement follows the same order, because the order is what stops money leaking.

  1. Discovery call. We ask for numbers most agencies never ask for: average ticket, close rate on quotes, how many calls go to voicemail, and which months go quiet.
  2. Written plan. You get a plain-language plan: what we'd fix first, what each piece costs, and the one or two numbers we'll judge it by.
  3. Foundation. Website, Google Business Profile, call tracking and analytics, set up in your company's name.
  4. Traffic. Local search, paid ads or reviews, added one channel at a time so each one can be measured on its own.
  5. Monthly review. Calls, booked jobs, cost per booked job, and what changes next month.

A worked example shows why we start with numbers. Say your average job is worth $1,800 and you close 40% of the quotes you run. Each booked job then needs about 2.5 qualified quote requests. If a channel delivers quote requests at $90 each, a booked job costs roughly $225 in marketing, or 12.5% of the ticket. You can decide in a minute whether that works for your margins. The guides walk through this maths in more detail.

The services, and how to choose

We offer five services, and few companies need all five on day one. The services overview explains how to choose; in short:

  • Brand identity if your trucks, shirts and website look like three different companies.
  • Websites if your site is slow, vague or doesn't tell a stranger what to do next.
  • Local search if competitors show up in the map results for towns you serve and you don't.
  • Paid advertising if you need booked work this month, not next year.
  • Reviews and reputation if you do good work but your Google profile doesn't show it.

Proof, stated honestly

Our published results come from HVAC and heating companies, and we present them as results from our HVAC work, not as plumbing or roofing results. They show what the method does when it is applied with discipline:

The results page explains what each project involved and which parts transfer to other trades. Nobody can promise you a ranking or a lead count, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

Where we work

We work with trades companies in all ten provinces and three territories, from the Lower Mainland to St. John's and up to Whitehorse. Each region changes the plan: who regulates the trades, how long the busy season runs, which language customers search in, and which rebate programs push homeowners to call. The areas page covers each province and the territories.

What it costs, and what it doesn't

Plans start at $1,999 a month, or $1,499 a month when billed annually, with Canadian clients adding GST/HST by province. They run month to month with 30 days' notice to cancel. The free 30-minute consultation is a real conversation, not a sales script. The pricing page lists every plan, and the FAQ covers contracts, ownership and what happens if you leave.

The fastest way to find out whether we fit is to call, text or email. The contact page explains what to send so the first conversation is useful.

How it works

  1. Tell us how the business really runs

Average job value, close rate, slow months, where work comes from today. Fifteen minutes of honest numbers beats any proposal deck.

  2. Get a written plan with the maths shown

We write down what we would fix first, what it costs, and how we will know if it worked, before you commit to anything.

  3. Start, measure, adjust monthly

Work begins in accounts you own, with tracking on every call and text. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

Is TradesAgency.ca the same company as Trades.Agency?

Yes. TradesAgency.ca is the Canadian company site for Trades.Agency, the trades brand of Sedighi.ca. It explains who we are, how we work and where we work; the full plan details live on trades.agency.

Do you do trade work yourselves?

No. We are a marketing and business consulting firm. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we don't send crews. Our job is to help your company get found, trusted and called.

Who will I deal with day to day?

Your first conversation is with a senior strategist, and Ali Sedighi leads strategy across the group. Who handles the daily work depends on the plan; the Enterprise plan includes a dedicated marketing team.

How much does it cost?

Growth, our entry plan, is $1,999 monthly or $1,499 monthly if you pay for the year; GST or HST is added at your province's rate. The initial 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. Plans run month to month and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. Annual billing is optional and simply lowers the monthly price.

Which provinces do you work in?

All ten provinces and the three territories. We consult by video call or in person, as well as by phone, text and email, so a roofer in Moncton and an electrician in Kelowna get the same process.
